It looks like John Robertson (Cambridge ON) got the bye this round. He's greeting folks who are showing up: Chris Lipe, Allen Pengelly, Kristina Overton, etc. He's been asking about what touristy things he should do in Las Vegas. John Chew said, "I just flew down to do a site visit Tuesdasy and sat next to not one but two Vegas show girls. One was a dancer and the other was a contortionist in a Cirque du Soleil show, Love." John said the contortionist didn't exactly wrap her legs around her head, but very nearly, as she sat beside him and stretched in her seat.

As she headed into the room for he last game, Lynda Wise (Toronto ON) said, "Oh great, I get Tony Leah (Ajax ON)." I told her she was lucky!

The man who got the first bye of the day, Eric Peters (Toronto ON), is now the sole undefeated player, 6-0 +462. He is playing Trevor Sealy (Oshawa ON), who is 5-1 +391 in second place.

Boyfriend vs. girlfriend went to the boy. Josh Greenway (Toronto ON) defeated Jillian Bathgate (Toronto ON), 386-349. I see his SAUNTERS, ELAStIN, and UnCRATED. I tell her she did well to stay so close with such bad tiles.

I see Sharmaine Farini (Toronto ON) put an IN infront of DEPTH and Alex Rodriguez (NYC, NY) called it off. I see STEAMIER, TINGLE, and WILLET on their board.

Lisa Kessler annotated Trevor Sealy (Oshawa ON) this round and Risa Horowitz annotated our winner, Eric Peters (Toronto ON). Check out their annotated game!

Sid Lashley (Mississauga ON) lost his game to Christopher Sykes (Cambridge ON) and he's bummed that Chris got away with two phonies: VESPiNES* (good without the S, it is an adjective} and ALODIC* (we can find no way to figure this one out). I spotted HOUNDER and WETTERS on that board.

Lynda Wise (Toronto ON) got down dRILLINg in her game with Tony and I saw his TENSION. Late in the game, he challenged her FADDY and it was good.

Fern Lindzon (Toronto ON) vs. Caroline Polak Scowcroft (Australia). Nice board. I see ZONULA, OPERATEs, SORDINE, SALFONE, UNbIASED through the N. Fern won. She reminds me that she will be playing this Sunday night at Chalkers Pub at the Glencairn subway stop. She says her performance is part of this weekend's Jazz festival. The place serves casual and good food and SCRABBLE boards are welcome! Eat and play and listen!
