The finals were streamed live with color commentary by NASPA co-president Chris Cree and Hasbro Studios VP Game and Reality Show Production and Development Kevin Belinkoff, to a packed theater audience. Officiating in the room were TD John Chew and game recorder Matthew O'Connor.

Jamb Cahoots (CT/TX) played the first bingo, DELAINE (76) hooking TUBE-D on their fifth turn. The missed DOWNIEST through the I in DELAINE on their next turn, but made INSIDERS (72) on the turn after that for a 163-point lead.

Randolph MS A (NC) then drew one blank and then the other, eventually getting them both down in one play for MONETIze (60) to close the gap to 45 points, but it wasnt quite enough in the end.

For Thomas Draper, the third time was the charm - he had made it to the finals in the last two years, and won it in this his last year of eligibility.

Congratulations to our new National School SCRABBLE Champions, Thomas Draper and Jacob Sass.
