In (NWL) Division 1, Mack Meller (Lexington, KY) played first as top qualifier, but lost a close game to Ian Weinstein (coral springs, FL) 427-436. He then lost a bigger game 313-445, and trailed 0-2 -141.

Contending the CSW title, top qualifier Joshua Castellano (Vienna, VA) beat Waseem Khatri (Pakistan) twice, 494-414 and 420-327.

We will take a break for the lower division prize ceremony before resuming the best-of-5 finals, which could be over in as little as one more round.

Play has resumed after the lunch break and lower division prize ceremony.

In a must-win situation, Mack Meller (Lexington, KY) won his third game 476-373; Waseem Khatri (Pakistan) lost his third game 357-487 to give Joshua Castellano (Vienna, VA) the CSW title.

Still trailing 1-2, Mack Meller (Lexington, KY) tied the series against Ian Weinstein (coral springs, FL) with a 421-416 win.

Finally, in the most dramatic game of the week, that left each player with just a few seconds left on their clock, Mack Meller (Lexington, KY) played out with a surprise 45-point play to become the new national (NWL) champion.
